A native New Englander, Judy expresses her love for nature's beauty and pleasures through paintings in her loose, realistic style. She received her art training at Miami University, Ohio, with a BFA cum laude, and continued her art studies at Pratt Institute's Evening School while working in advertising in New York City. Judy moved to Cape Cod to paint full time in 1993, adding oils to her repertoire in 1998. She is a signature member of the New England Watercolor Society and the Philadelphia Watercolor Society.

As an artist I respond emotionally to the visual world around me, with a driving desire to record and share the impressions. My focus is on patterns of light and color to capture a mood in the most direct way possible.
